Scientific Programme

The final announcement, which includes an overview of the programme day by day as well as details of all sessions is now available Click Here (632kb PDF).

The scientific programme will include the following elements:

Plenary sessions

Keynote addresses, which will focus on the main themes of the conference.

Panel debates, which will develop the theme of the keynote address and discuss it from different perspectives. Simultaneous interpretation into French, Spanish, Russian and German will be available during all plenary sessions.

Parallel sessions
Roundtables, which will centre around a panel of experts, and are intended to offer an opportunity to debate the topic.

Strategic workshops, which are structured presentation sessions focusing on strategic issues. Each workshop will focus on a set topic, and presentations will address the topic from different perspectives.

Teach-ins, or practical sessions where delegates can learn about a set topic. Teach-ins are intended to be informative and give participants basic knowledge of how to address the topic in their own setting.

Abstract workshops, in which presentations of papers will take place. These sessions are grouped by theme, but separate sessions on each theme will take a different focus. There will be time available to discuss each presentation.
