The final workshop in this series focused on Climate Change and was chaired by John McMullan, Chief Executive, Bryson Group and Vice Chair, Belfast Healthy Cities. Sue Christie, Director, NI Environment Link explored the role of organisations and individuals in tackling climate change. Mike Gill, Co-Chair Climate & Health Council questioned why health practitioners should be interested in climate change. Transition Towns : local solutions to tackle climate change was presented by Davie Philip from Cultivate, Dublin. John McCormick a representative from the Soil Association discussed the impact of climate change on food security. Waste - Whose Problem Is It? was asked by Tim Walker, Head Waste Management, Belfast City Council. The site visits for Day 5 included Mallusk Recycling Centre, NIHE Solar Panel Experiment and Belfast City Council Allotments.
